Dr. Abdullah is a dual board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in lower limb arthroplasty from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Abdullah has undergone extensive training in orthopedic surgery, accumulating over 10 years of experience in the field. He completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation, a prestigious tertiary care hospital in Qatar affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College and accredited by the American system ACGME-I. As part of his post-residency training, he further honed his skills by spending one year as a trauma and arthroplasty registrar at NHS Medway Hospital in the United Kingdom.
Additionally, he dedicated one year to an Orthopedic Research and Clinical Fellowship at IWK Health Centre in Halifax, followed by two years of subspecialty fellowship training in arthroplasty at Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto.
Dr. Abdullah possesses exceptional proficiency in various facets of orthopedic surgery, including surgical assessment, patient counseling, and the development of personalized treatment plans. He is highly skilled in utilizing state-of-the-art surgical techniques and providing comprehensive post-operative care. Throughout his training, he has developed a well-rounded set of skills that enable him to assess patients' surgical risks diligently and perform surgeries with great precision.
Moreover, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge and has actively engaged in teaching clinical and surgical skills to junior colleagues and medical students. As part of his fellowship training, he served as a member of the teaching faculty and contributed to the OSCE exams at the University of Toronto.
Driven by his commitment to evidence-based medicine and advancing medical research, Dr. Abdullah pursued a graduate diploma in Clinical Epidemiology (GDCE) at McMaster University in 2021, in addition to his research fellowship.
From November 2022 to June 2023, Dr. Abdullah worked as a locum Orthopedic surgeon at The Moncton Hospital, Horizon Health Network.
Currently, Dr. Abdullah practices at Chaleur Hospital in Bathurst, New Brunswick, where he continues to provide exceptional care and expertise in the field of orthopedic surgery.
